The Geolink Measurement While Drilling (MWD) Platform delivers consistently reliable real-time downhole data for precise well placement and efficient drilling. It provides key measurements such as inclination, azimuth, toolface, temperature, and vibration, with configurable telemetry options that include positive or negative mud pulse and electromagnetic (EM) transmission.
Designed for adaptability, the platform features lightweight, modular components that can be configured for retrievability to reduce lost-in-hole risk and easily expanded for formation evaluation and pressure-while-drilling measurements. At the surface, it operates through a floor-mounted Atex-certified decoding panel, which interfaces with Windows-based Geolink Navigator software on a standard laptop. This configuration features integral logging and optional LWD support.
The probe-based system can be operated in 2.875 in.. 3.5 in., 4.75 in., 6.75 in., 8.25 in., and 9.5 in. O.D. transmitter subs nominal BHA sizes, suitable for a wide range of drilling applications, ranging from high flow (1000 + gpm) under balance (up to 20% N2 injection), short radius (1 deg/foot), and ultra-short radius (1.5 deg/ foot).
The low-energy system offers over 600 hours of in-hole telemetry from a set of DD packs. Ceramic wear parts offer service intervals of over 800 hours, significantly contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint of operations.
